Back to School Blog Hop

Welcome to the Back to School blog hop hosted by me! I'm so excited to be hosting my first blog hop. It is so much fun and I am so honored to have 12 AMAZING ladies join me. Back to School is an exciting time around here. 

My two boys go back to school next Tuesday and I hope my little girl gets into Preschool this September. With them all in school, I will have more uninterrupted time to do more cards! I asked everyone to talk about what back to school means to them. It means buying school supplies, clothes, shoes and meeting teachers...busy, busy, busy. I will be celebrating when they get on the bus Tuesday. I still have so much to do in this house, it will be great to have an opportunity to clear out the rest of these boxes. I made four cards for this special occasion. 

First card: Back to School bus card, the bus is cut from Doodlecharm. I put some cute little PeachyKeen faces in the bus' windows, for kids. You know everyone is not all smiles when it's time for school so, I had to add an angry face. The sentiment is from Joy's Life Holiday Occasions set. 

Second card: Backpacking Back to School, I cut the backpack from Locker talk. The sentiment is computer generated. All paper is from different DCWV stacks. 

Third card: Fist day of School, the cut is from Locker talk. All paper is from PTI.

 Fourth card: High School, the cut is from Locker talk. The paper is from DCWV and I used some twine. This card is the one that means the most, my oldest child is starting High School. He is my baby and he is growing up so fast. When I took him to Freshmen orientation this week I got teary eyed.

I made a card today for the Skipping Stone Sketch challenge.  I used the set Buns n Crunches from skipping stone for the cookies.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.  This card was really simple to make and I think it turned out cute.   I just love Skipping Stones stamps, they are full of humor.  You should join the challenge for a chance to win one of their great sets.

I got a card done today for three challenges.  I've been busy trying to do something (last minute) with the kids before they go back to school. I hope you join me Saturday for my Back to School hop.  I'm so excited and I will have two GREAT giveaways.  
On to my card, First: Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge with a Twist.  You are to follow the sketch and use the selected colors.  Second: The Paper Variety you are to use Circles.  Three: Getting Cricky Positive Things To Come.  I think that speaks for itself. The image and all paper is from PTI. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamps. I colored the images with my promarkers. The background paper was embossed with the tiny dots folder.  I had fun making this card and I love the colors. I hope you like my card.

My card today is another one I made for my mother-in-law.  I just love this card!  I used some scraps laying around from the DCWV Black Currant stack.  The lady is a Kraftin Kimmie stamp, Samantha. I used Promarkers to color her.  The sentiment is Pink By Design Flirty Girl set.  I don't know if you know this or not but I designed the Flirty Girl set for PBD. Great company, Pink Cricut and Mr. Pink are just the best.  

Be on the look out I will be doing a card series soon using this set and giving one away! 

Happy Belated Birthday!

2 post this week...YAY!  I'm trying hard to get to my stuff but digging through boxes is just no fun.  I hope to have my room together soon.  I feel like I'm missing so much.  I do have a card today for 2 challenges.  This card is something my mother-in-law requested right before we starting moving and I never got around to doing it.  I'm sure she can't use it now but, I will send it to her anyway.  She has several nieces and nephews.  
First challenge is Cupcake Craft: How Old?  Second challenge is Celebrate the Occasion: Kids's Birthday
The horse  and numbers are from Old West cart.  The sentiment is from MPS Fabulous Phrases set.  I love the way this card turned out.  The sentiment curving around the horse came out great.  I hope you like my card!
